What an anniversary!

Most people celebrate in a nice fancy, quiet, and romantic restaurant and maybe even a night away from the kids. Not these Longneckers. Though that sounds great right about now, as I am trying to recover from all the driving, that is not how we chose to celebrate seven years of marriage.
We decided the best thing would be to rent a boat. We first thought we would do this alone but then mentioned to each other how much the kids would enjoy it. We couldn't leave them behind when we were going to have so much fun. No we would have to bring them. Then it became a family affair. Want more fun? Invite more family! We love being with our family and knew we would have a lot of fun and so would they. Jan joined us along with my brother-in-law, Tom, his oldest boys and Sarah. What more could you ask for?!?! Well we wished everyone was on the boat with us but it was only a 10-passenger boat.
We really had a good time and hope the rest of our crew did too. Thanks for making a good anniversary memorable. But it still would be nice having that sweet, quiet, romantic dinner!

I think that's a great way to celebrate! I'm so glad you married my brother and came into our family. We are all the better for it! Thanks for dropping by yesterday. It was worth missing my Sunday afternoon nap to spend a couple of hours with you, Erik and the kids. (Next time, we'll have better food, though, I promise!)
