More from our Zoo

A couple of weeks ago we got some great coupons in the mail for Dairy Queen down the street that just opened up. We had to use this FREE KIDS MEAL coupon that would expire tomorrow. When Erik left for the Priesthood Session I piled the kids in the car and went. We gave the lady our coupon and went to get our drink. Gabe of course, not being able to see, he did the only thing that is natural to a two year old and tried to pull himself up to see. I turned to see him falling to the floor taking the draining grid thing down with him. (you know it is the thing that lets the spilling soda fall into instead of going all over the floor.) The whole store turned and looked at us. I picked Gabe off the floor and comforted him. He wasn't crying but he probably thought he was in trouble. The poor kid's eyes were as big as saucers. About 5 employees came running and asking if he was alright. That made it worse. I would have cleaned it up but I had to let Gabe know it was OK first. They all said it was completely fine and not to worry about it. But from then on it seemed like the kids got wired.

We sat outside while the kids shared their kid's meal. There was music playing and it was a nice evening. The drive-thru line circled around near where we were sitting and it was a packed line. When all of the sudden Isabel gets up on her chair, sticks her butt up in the air, poking it way out there and swings it around to the music. I could have busted a gut! But it was totally inapproate. There were a half dozen cars waiting in line for their food watching a four year old shaking her booty in the air. And least she was on beat.

To make matters even worse, we got a $ .99 Blizzard and Gabe, being two, had to do it himself. He would jam the spoon into the ice cream and pull it out. It was so thick though that when it came out ice cream would fly off his spoon and land in all kinds of places including lap and MY HAIR.

They are now looking like sweet and perfect angels in their beds at this moment.
